Strategic Approaches of CGED
- CGED believes in practices of participatory and sustainable approaches at all levels and community participation and capacity building at the grassroots level.
- CGED develops networks with other relevant local, national, and international organizations and GOs, POs, and NGOs.
- Conduct research programs to find out the gaps and needs of the environment management, biodiversity, and ecosystem conservation and communities with a view to designing appropriate programs.
Organizational Setup :
Presently, CGED has two layers of active committees i.e. General Members Committee and the Executive Committee (EC). The members of the General Committee are about 30 (thirty) and there may be more, whereas the Executive Committee is comprised of 7 (Seven) members including the Chairman, Vice-chairman, Secretary/Executive Director, Treasurer, and 3 (three) Executive Members. All EC members are nationally reputed development experts.
Besides, CGED has developed and established some Environment and Biodiversity Conservation Teams (EBCT) in different areas and districts In Bangladesh. These teams are working voluntarily in Chawkpara, Rajshahi; Bagmara, Rajshahi; Boda, Pachangar, and Teknaf, Cox’s Baza, Khulna Sadar and Bhola Sadar. These teams are working voluntarily under the direction and support of the Central Executive Committee of CGED.
